Believe it or not, I’ve never owned a grey horse, nor have I ever owned anything under 14hh, but all that changed last week with the arrival of Milton, a 30 year old Connemara gelding owned by Brooke Allan. We have known Brooke and Milton for a long time and while I took some convincing to take on this amazing old man, for fear of his demise in my care, I am so glad that I did. He has a long history of participation in all kinds of horse sports and teaching many children to ride. He will live out his semi-retirement with us, hopefully teaching Christopher (and with a bit of luck baby number two as well) the ropes of gentle riding and horse care. Today he had a visit from my sister Jessie and her kids Oliver (5) and Annabel (2) and all joined Christopher (2) for a plod around on dear old Milton.
