Our breeding season is underway, with two mares inseminated tonight and one coming up for insemination early next week. Fingers crossed for some positive pregnancies soon.
I had to change my stallion choice for Aloha Crystal Bell. She was to go to Mongraf for live cover, but while Wagga and Condobolin are both still in the EI Green Zone, unfortunately the Amber Zone fills the space in between, so a walk-on trip would have been a major undertaking – we’d have had to drive almost to Ivanhoe to get there! We’re now going to try her with Don Ramiro.
Glenwood Mystery and Northern Linnea are starting to bag up. They’re due to foal in a bit over a month, but Mystery looks like she’ll explode before then!
