In the early hours of this morning our maiden Sir Donnerhall mare, CK Santolini, gave birth to a very pretty filly by super-sire Negro, sire of the incredible Valegro. We can’t wait to see this baby unscrunched and have big dreams for her future! Meet Cooramin Solegro…

Not only is this an exciting cross of international bloodlines, it also marks the first occasion of a mare foaling down at Cooramin in the very same paddock in which she was born. While CK Santolini (Sophie) was bred by our good friend Catherine Smith, her dam foaled down here while Catherine was in the process of moving house, so Sophie has become the first to see the foaling paddock from the perspective of both the broodmare and the foal.
