Sadly today the news is not good – our beautiful Rotspon mare Hillbreeze Rapture lost her foal last night. It seems that the placenta separated prior to birth and the poor colt foal was born dead, just two days from his due date. He was a full brother to John and Sharon Potter’s Cooramin Stagelights and we are very sad to lose him. Thankfully the mare has accepted his loss very well and is well in herself. We will soldier on, but it sure makes you question the sanity of horse breeders when disasters like this happen!
