Two of our sold horses have headed off to their new homes in the past week. Beautiful mare Hunterview Florencia went home with our long-time friend Karen Skimmings last week, carrying her OOSeven baby which we can’t wait to see. Then, late last night, Cooramin Narnia (Hilkens Nougat Cream x Medallion) left for his new home at Marine Park on the Mornington Peninsula. Note for future horse transport recommendations – that semi-trailer only JUST managed to get around the gateways here! We wish both new owners all the very best with them and look forward to their progress reports in the future.
We now only have two horses left for sale, both of exceptional quality – Cooramin Redwood Hit (3yo gelding under saddle, by Royal Hit out of our Weltmeyer mare) and Cooramin Brindabella (filly foal by Belissimo M, also out of our Weltmeyer mare). Please feel free to contact me if either of these horses interest you.
One of our future broodmares, CK Santolini (Sir Donnerhall x Double TT Klass), headed off to the breaker yesterday. She is a really beautiful type of filly and can really move, so it will be exciting to see her under saddle. Sir Donnerhall progeny are looking really exciting as competition prospects and it almost seems a shame that Sophie is destined for a breeding career.
Our favourite show of the year, Dressage and Jumping with the Stars, kicks off on Thursday and we will be heading down there as always. It’s a fantastic opportunity as a breeder, to see what different pedigree crosses are producing. This year will be a little more challenging than usual, with seven-month old Christopher to contend with, but Jas will be on duty and hopefully things will be smooth!
